lemon juice

Thanks to all our wonderful friends and family who gave us gift cards to Target I was able to get my Medela Breast Pump and our Summer Infant BabyTouch Digital Color Video Monitor. We've had so much fun testing out the video monitor with the dogs at night. I'm impressed with the picture quality, ability to pan & zoom, night vision and the talk back feature. Highly recommend.

While at Target I also stumbled upon Comotomo bottles. I'm such a sucker for packaging and design, but combine that with everything they said about the product I was sold. Has anyone used these? Ok, they're the most expensive bottle I've bought, but if they're everything they say they are they're worth it. I'm so intrigued.

it was always you

What an incredible life Jonathan and I have created together and it's fixing to become even more wonderful. At our sonogram on Friday we got to see our baby girl open and close her eyes, yawn, suck on her hand, we even got to hear her practice her breathing. It was just amazing.

be you

If I just had this swing and the beach I could escape. Now, that would be bed rest.

on bed rest

Well, it's official I'm on bed rest until our sweet baby girl gets here, which is looking more like four weeks from now. I've had a funny feeling about Labor Day, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

showered with love

What a whirlwind it has been the last couple of weeks. We thought we were going to have to be induced on Friday, but are so relieved that are baby girl is just fine and still has at least three weeks, if not the whole nine yards, which would be six weeks.

Here are pictures from the shower my mom had for us last week. I still can't get over how gorgeous it was. Every detail was impeccable. It couldn't have been more me! I'm so lucky to have the most wonderful mother in the world and Abigail couldn't be more lucky to have her as her Nana.

happy thoughts

Well, I did it. I made it through our first childbirth class. Pregnancy is definitely helping me conquer my fear of needles, hospitals, blood and doctors. I was absolutely dreading going to our childbirth class, tried to avoid it, but my wonderful husband took me by the hand and forced me to go. I'm so glad he did, because instead of being scared to death it actually helped me understand how my body is made to do this. And as Jonathan keeps reminding me labor doesn't last forever and at the end of it we get the best gift of all - our sweet baby girl. Might I even say I'm a little excited now for when the time comes to go into labor, because in just twelve to twenty-four hours after I'll get to meet my daughter. : )

ice cream

So thankful tomorrow is Friday. Especially after this week. Tuesday we got to take what I now call the test run to the hospital. Had to be monitored due to having contractions. Miss Abigail and I are just fine though. No exit strategy yet for this baby at 30 weeks. We're going to take it very easy this weekend, some pampering is in order!
